The City of Nanaimo
Nestled into the east coast of Vancouver Island, lays the harbour city of Nanaimo. This community of 90 000 is the second largest urban centre on Vancouver Island as well as home to over 1 400 hectares of protected open space. With its busy city centre and plenty of parks and trails to explore, there is something for everyone whether its community arts, culture, sports, or outdoor recreation.
As a long time client of ARETE, the City of Nanaimo has made it a priority to invest in their employees safety and well-being in the workplace. Over the years, the City has enrolled over one thousand of their workers in both our Onside WorkplaceTM | Bullying and Harassment and Service to SafetyTM | Workplace Violence Prevention training programs. As the City of Nanaimo has grown into the vibrant and active community it is today, ARETE is very proud to continue facilitating even more training to the City’s employees so they can stay safe on and off the job.
